BRIDGEPORT - On behalf of WV State Treasurer Riley Moore, the West Virginia State Treasurer's Office awarded Johnson Elementary School 1st grader, Finnian "Fin" Chavoustie $500 towards a SMART529 account today at Johnson Elementary School.
Chavoustie was the Regional Winner of a short essay contest titled "When I grow up, I want to be a...". Fin's entry was all about how he wants to be an Archeologist when he grows up.
The entries were broken down into three grade categories and five regions. Fifteen (15) children were selected by a panel of judges, and those children were awarded $500 towards a SMART529 college savings account. Each winner's school also received $500 cash prize.
