The Harrison County Board of Education is deeply saddened to announce the tragic passing of a respected teacher at Liberty High School, following an accident that occurred early Tuesday morning in the school’s parking lot.
The loss of the beloved teacher is a profound tragedy for our school community. Our thoughts are with the families involved during this difficult time.
Out of respect, all extracurricular activities at Liberty High School as well as the Harrison County Board of Education meetings scheduled for this evening have been canceled.

We are aware of a precautionary boil water advisory issued for the City of Bridgeport. This advisory will impact all Bridgeport schools. Bottled water will be provided to each school location until the advisory is lifted.
We are aware of a precautionary boil water advisory for areas in downtown Clarksburg. The information provided is that it will only affect WI Middle. Bottled water has been delivered to WI and we will be including RCB and Nutter Fort Schools as a precautionary measure until the advisory is lifted.
Update: Robert C. Byrd High School, Nutter Fort Intermediate, Nutter Fort Primary, and WI Middle School will all operate on a 2-hour delay on Monday, February 5, 2024, due to a planned water outage.
