This year marks the 2nd Annual West Virginia Middle School All-State Band. The WV Bandmasters takes great pride in this event to provide an opportunity for middle school band students who thrive on challenge and expertise. We are thrilled to have two students from BMS in the All-State Band this year! Lucy Mitchell (Bari Sax) and Zoe Whitescarver (Bass Clarinet) will be rehearsing with other students from around the state at the Charleston Civic Center March 6-7, 2025. The Guest Conductor this year is Rachel Maxwell. We would also like to note that Veena Raol (Bass Clarinet) was also selected but was not able to participate due to a scheduling conflict.
Bridgeport Middle School will once again be hosting the Region 10 Band Festival on Wednesday, March 26 and Thursday, March 27. The 7th/8th Grade Band as well as the 6th Grade Band are scheduled to perform at the festival which will feature bands from Harrison, Marion, Monongalia, Preston, and Taylor counties. Each band will perform two pieces selected from the WV Graded Music list and be adjudicated by a panel of three judges. The festival is free and open to the public.
