Bridgeport Middle School Band Handbook

On behalf of the Bridgeport Middle School Music Department, I want to welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year. We are excited to have you as a part of our program this year! I am definitely looking forward to a fun year of music-making, and I hope all the students are as well. After a summer away, I’m sure everyone is ready to get going on next year of practicing, learning, and performing! Students that take part in the band program are challenged to grow musically and encouraged to achieve their highest potential. In order for this to occur, students must respect their director, their fellow musicians, and their instruments. In this handbook, you will find policies, procedures, and other important information regarding the Bridgeport Middle School Band program. Please take the time to read this material. After you have read through the handbook, please discuss the rules and schedules with your student. Please keep the schedule handy so that it can be used for future reference. I can’t wait to work and grow with you. Let’s have a fantastic year!
