The Harrison County Student Achievement Scholarships are provided to graduating Harrison County High school students who will attend a college, university, or technical school.
The committee’s intent is to recognize outstanding student potential, in consideration of a
variety of aspects. These include, but are not limited to, academics, leadership, creativity, and
personal development. In evaluating academics, the committee takes into consideration the
degree of difficulty in the student’s course load. The committee is interested in identifying
students who are well-rounded and exhibit exceptional qualities and potential to become
leaders in a career field. With this in mind, the committee has established scholarship
categories to award students of great potential in the Fine Arts and Technical career fields as
well.
