Dear Harrison County School Families-
During this season of thanks, I would like to begin by showing my gratitude for all of the patience and understanding our families and employees have shown this school year as we work our way through this pandemic. We have been able, in cooperation with our local Health Department, to remain open 5 days per week providing in-person instruction. Our partnership with our schools and families is such a necessary part of being successful as a school system. I am thankful for the students that come to school each day with smiles upon their faces and are ready to meet the challenges facing them. It is because of our students that we are here.
The upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday is fast approaching and is a great time to share with family and friends. With that being said, Harrison County will be utilizing two ICE pack days for November 22 and November 23. These are considered non-traditional instructional days in which students will not be in attendance. It is important to note that these days will not be days that will need to be made up at the end of the school year. Each of your child’s teachers will provide assignments that are available in their individual classes. November 22 & 23 are Instructional Days. Teachers will be available via email and other communication methods during these days. The remainder of the week will be as follows: November 24 -out of calendar day, November 25- Thanksgiving Day Holiday, and November 26- out of calendar day.
