CLARKSBURG & WILSONBURG – Harrison County Schools is partnering with Pierpont Aviation Maintenance Programs to introduce students to careers in aviation. This year, Pierpont Aviation is visiting all six high schools and five middle schools in the county to talk to 11th and 12th-grade students and 8th-grade students about aviation jobs available right here in Harrison County.
Dr. Brad Gilbert, Senior Professor and Director of Aviation Technology, and his team are leading the presentations, explaining career paths like becoming an aviation mechanic or pilot. At the end of the presentations, students will be invited on a field trip to the Pierpont facility at the Robert C. Byrd National Aerospace Center in Bridgeport to see these opportunities up close.

Time: 1:00 – 1:30 p.m.
Field Trips in January
Interested students will have a chance to visit the aviation school and hangar in January to learn more about the industry.
