Behavior Expectations and Guidelines for Success

While a member in our school community, you are expected to give your best effort and participate in school activities.  All members, which includes teachers, students and parents, are expected to respect others and their opportunities to learn by following the expectations and guidelines.  A safe, nurturing and productive culture will blossom when respect for others is the number one priority.  Although one community, we have diverse learning environments.  These learning environments have many similar rules but may have rules unique to each.  Students are expected to follow all expectations within the various learning environments.

Academic Expectations and Guidelines for Success

While at Mountaineer Middle School, students, parents, and teachers are all expected to work together to make sure that each student is making academic progress.  We believe that with hard work and effort, all students can make academic progress despite their current academic level.  An engaging and fun learning environment will flourish when learning is the most important part of our classrooms.  With your effort, we will you a successful student at Mountaineer Middle.

Students not meeting these expectations could see a loss of privileges.

iPad Expectations and Guideliens for Success

While at Mountaineer Middle, students will be assigned an iPad to use during the school year.  This form of technology is an important part of learning at school.  Like textbooks, iPads must be returned in good working order each year.  Students should remember that these are ‘work’ devices and not ‘personal’ devices.  Students should be reminded that the iPads are the property of Mountaineer Middle School and should be treated with care.

Students not meeting these expectations could see a loss of privileges.

All iPads are subject to confiscation and random “checks” any time the administration deems appropriate.
